if you do rear fill coax and subwoofers on the dsp that will be another 3 channels. So a 2 way set of components will require 4 separate channels. Depending on how you want to approach tuning the dsp you will either need to get a decent microphone for acoustical measurements, or have it tuned by somebody else.Īlso note that if you do plan do go the DSP route and run active, you will need 1 amplifier channel per driver. The Helix is going to give you the best possible tuning capacity but it is the most expensive. so just give it a bit of research before you choose. There are tons of options out there, there are amplifiers with built in DSPs, JL Vxi, helix, audio control etc. But both of those are on the higher end of the cost spectrum. If you want more than 8 channels of output a helix pro is the way to go.

it annoys me.LoLĬool, if you want to run a DSP with optical input I would recommend a JL audio TWK D8 or a Helix DSP.3. I guess I could just run without one and see how it goes since I keep most of it off anyway unless someone in the passenger seat decides they want a back and butt rub. The main reason I was concerned with the cap is my truck is Loaded to the gills will do everything exp pick up a chick for you.LoL was kind of concerned because of the massaging seats current draw along with the other craziness like adaptive cruise and lane keeping stuff I have no Idea how much current that stuff uses. Yeah was going to order the subs after I figured out the amp only 2 choices DVC 4 and DVC 8 4 would get me 1ohm and 8 would get me 2ohms depending on the amp choice for the subs. The amp selection I am looking at is similar in power but mixing amp brand okay thing to do or do I need to keep them the same?Īudison SR 500.4 125rms X4 SR 500.1 1000rms x1 C5 800.4 100rms x4 4ohms Yes I have the Sony system that has everything running through the factory amp( chimes seats everything). Okay so wiring 1/0 kit split down to for with fused distribution blocksĪnd for the ported box is the The MTI Acoustics really worth the money or do you know? 500 bones for a box is alot in my opinion.Īlso are you running a Dsp with the Pac or is will the Pac get me where I need to be tuned to the 32-34hz and 34hz for the mids and highs? It gives a nice bump in output for most country and rap/hip hop.Īlso, you don't need a capacitor! These trucks come with a hefty alternator (especially with max tow package) I run around 1800 watts and no. Ideally with the TW3s you will want a down firing enclosure under the seat for best cabin loading and output. dual 4 ohm will be running at 1 ohm (if running parallel)Īlong the lines of your subwoofer enclosure, based on the music type you picked a ported enclosure tuned around 32-34hz (cabin peak is around 34hz) would be the go to. You should also base the decision on what your final impedance will be, if you get dual 8.

At one point I did run two of them ported under my rear seat on a JL 600/1v3 and it was pretty solid. I would personally go for the JL 1000 watt (RD1000 if looking for a newer one on a budget) as you will ideally want around 800 watts between the two 12TW3s. I have a good amount of experience with this platform if you have any questions along the way on your install. Easiest thing to do is go ahead and run some 1/0 gauge wire for your main power and ground to a distribution block and split to 4 gauge for your amp inputs. I am not sure of the overall power you plan to run but I am guessing from the amp selection you will be around 1400-1600 watts between your two amps. Sounds like you have the factory Sony system if you are running the PAC unit.
